You may notice a Proposition 65 warning on [ROKA.com](//ROKA.com). We want to help you understand what this means and why it's there.

California's Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to warn consumers about exposures to chemicals that may contribute to an individual's overall lifetime risk of cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. California maintains a list of over 800 chemicals updated annually, which you can view in full at the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA): [https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65](https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65)

The warning applies to certain ROKA products containing polycarbonate lenses. This includes some of our sunglasses and eyeglasses, and our snow goggles. Polycarbonate lenses contain trace amounts of Bisphenol A (BPA), a starting material used in their manufacture. BPA is also commonly found in everyday consumer goods such as water bottles and food and beverage packaging.

A Prop 65 warning is California's way of ensuring consumers are informed.
